UPCOMING FIXTURES

WITHAM TOWN UNDER 16’s SEASON 2008/2009

Witham Town Under 16’s will be competing in the Eastern Junior Alliance League next season & during Pre-Season will be looking to add players to their existing squad.

If you: -

A). Have recently been released from an Academy or Centre of Excellence & have not been successful in finding another club.

B). Have been playing in the Eastern Junior Alliance League & would like a change of club.

C). Have been playing in a local league & feel you have the talent to play at a higher level.

Then Witham Town Under 16’s would like to hear from you.

During Pre-Season Training we will be holding trials & would like to invite any player who feels he falls into the above categories.

Training will be held twice a week, with coaching sessions delivered by a UEFA B coach with professional club coaching experience.

In addition to this, at the end of the season, all players after a successful trial will have the opportunity to become a player in the Witham Town FC Football & Education Scheme, in conjunction with AVC Sports Management & Braintree College.

This new and exciting programme will commence in September 2008.

Aimed at school leavers the course provides aspiring young players the opportunity to continue their academic studies whilst at the same time develop their football ability with the ultimate aim of breaking into the first team at Witham Town Football Club. The 2-year programme, based around BTEC Sports academic programme caters for students of varying academic ability.

Students who enrol on the course will have access to 9 hours per week professional coaching with the added attraction of playing competitive fixtures.

If you are interested in the above, please contact Mick Haines (Manager) on 07749 869981 or 01376 518260 to arrange a convenient date & time for you to come along to display your talent.
